Remember Who He Is

“Grant us, we pray, O Lord, perseverance in obeying your will, that in our days the people dedicated to your service may grow in both merit and number. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.”

The most important question ever asked in scripture can be found in John 8:25. The Pharisees are challenging Jesus’ authority, and ask Him “Who are you?”

The world still asks that question. Our hearts still ask that question. Jesus’ answer, “I’ve told you this from the beginning...” doesn’t change. He has been telling our hearts who He is, yet there are still days we question His authority in our lives. We are from below, He is from above. He draws us, and all people, to Him because He has been lifted up.

Daily we need to reflect on the One who was lifted up on a cross. Daily we need to devote ourselves to Him, and pray that He adds to our number. Celebrate your salvation today and remember who He is..
